Emergency Cheat Sheet

With a new little baby joining our family in the very near future, I have been thinking about keeping her safe in our home.

I was reading an article in Parenting magazine which inspired me to create this Emergency Cheat Sheet.

It is a great reference for most of the basic emergencies you could see in your home:

  • Severe allergic reaction
  • Nosebleed
  • Head injury
  • Chipped tooth
  • Choking
  • Bleeding wound
  • Eye injury
  • Potential broken bone
  • Poisoning
  • Burn
  • Seizure

The kitchen is usually the center of the home and likely the site of most of these emergencies so I will  be hanging this list in a sheet protector inside one of my kitchen cabinets.

Let your family members know it is there! I hope you never need to use this but that it’s existence makes you feel a little bit more prepared.

*Please use your judgement. This is meant to save you a little “googling” in an emergency. I am not a doctor. Trust this cheat sheet at your own risk; it is summarized directly from parenting magazine’s article. If you are unsure, call 9-1-1.
